Online Dating News and Tips
© Internet Dating Is At An All Time High! ©
The dating game has entered a new era, and
although online dating is nothing new—it has increased in popularity. Many
men and women are finding potential love, and even their soul mates through
the Internet. Most people find that dating through cyber space is just
like dating in the real world, only better because when choosing the
person who’s most compatible for you—you can learn about
their character, interests, hobbies, and other things before you meet
them. Of course it’s not always so easy so be careful. This method
doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for a lot of people.

Stormy’s Tips For Dating
Online
- The best thing to do first, is to check out a singles
site’s message or discussion board. This way you can view different
topics and see how the members respond, and how different members view
certain issues. Most sites will require you to be a registered member
to join in on these discussions. Although some charge a fee, they’ll
offer you a free trial membership. Others are totally free.
I strongly recommend these! Unless you find a paying one with an excellent
match history. Some topics on the message boards become heated debates.
You can see whether or not a particular member has a hot temper, or
how experienced and educated they are about a certain topic.
- Participate in some of the local events and functions—get to
know the members first.
- If you see a member’s photo and profile who
doesn’t participate in the discussion boards, or local events,
set up an alternate email address (besides your home computer’s
address). There are plenty of free ones out there. I wouldn’t
advise giving your main email address to communicate with strangers.
- Never give your home telephone number too soon.
- Never go on a first date too soon. Too soon can
vary from person to person so go when you have enough verifiable information
on the person and when you feel comfortable. Also, when you do go on
the first date make sure it’s in a public place, go in separate
cars, and meet there. I don’t care what your mother taught you
about the gentleman picking you up at your door! Times have changed!
- Last but not least—take your time! Especially if the
two of you really hit it off!
